ATA Renewables has participated in SPIRE Project (technology comercially known as “Blue Solar Technology”). This is a disructive technology combining the best characteristics of Photovoltaic Plants (PV) and Concentrated Solar Thermal Plants (CSP).
The concept is simple: the irradiation spectrum received by photovoltaic solar panels installed in an heliostat is split thanks to a selective optic filter placed over the panel. That part of the irradiation that is used for PV production pass through the filter and reaches the PV panel while the rest of irradation (that one not used by PV Panel which represent about 40% of the irradiation) is reflected. The irradiation reflected reaches a solar thermal receiver that generates steam that can be later used for energy production.
ATA has participated in all project phases. Its scope was mostly focused on programming a SW that models the installation behaviour and energy production as well as control strategies for maximizing the output of the plant.
This Prohect has been financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the programm “Programa Operativo de Crecimiento Inteligente 2014-2020” launched by Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico y la Innovación (CDTI) under the call FEDER INTERCONECTA 2015
ATA Renewables is participating in VISITE Project financed by Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico y la Innovación (CDTI)
The Project consists of the development of tool for visual analysis of photovoltaic plants sites through aerial pictures taken fron a Dron.
The tool shall containg two main applications: one of them will be focused on identification of automatic evaluation of the adecuacy of the terrain for a PV installation. The other will focus on albedo estimation for installation of bi-facial panels.
Thanks to VISITE project ATA expects to increase added value offered to its Clients that desire to evaluate different lands for their projects.
GEDERA
ATA Renewables is participating in GEDERA Project (Gestión inteligente de la demanda flexible de energía en redes híbridas acopladas). It is a research project whose objective is the study and development of a multi-agent architecture that allows the development of applications for the smart grid, focusing the project on the management of flexibility in buildings.
The main approach of ATA Renovables’ participation in the project is the optimal integration of renewable sources with distributed systems and their interaction with existing energy markets in non-residential buildings. ATA participates in this project together with other leading companies in their respective areas of activity and complementary in their responsibilities within the project.
The Project is financed by the The European Union’s Resilience and Recovery Mechanism, through the programm “Programa Misiones de Ciencia e Innovación 2022” launched by Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico y la Innovación (CDTI).
DELFOS
ATA Renovables has participated in DELFOS, a project co-financed by the Center for the Development of Industrial and Innovation (CDTI) and the European Regional Development Fund 2021-2027 (ERDF), whose objective is the design, development and implementation of a tool for the optimization of the sizing of energy asset plants. The tool consists of a Sizing Calculation Module and an Electricity Market Evolution and Balance Forecast Module.
The system will enable ATA to facilitate companies in the development of renewable energy, energy storage and green hydrogen projects by automatically optimizing the sizing and optimal operation of the hybrid plant to maximize revenues and system efficiency. Thanks to the DELFOS project, ATA expects to increase the added value offered to its Customers wishing to evaluate the implementation of hybrid energy asset plants.
